This resource/mindshare discussion was created due to a high demand of interest in the personality tests for field team members posted on the AGC HR eForum: Original post to question about personality tests for the field: After thorough research, I found Gallups' CliftonStrengths to be the most valuable and applicable tool for my field leadership development program's self-awareness (Am I the problem) section. Its simplicity and accessibility, with plenty of free resources, make it easy for participants to understand and apply the results without the need for translation. I am not a certified CliftonStrengths coach, but based on how I use it within my program, I didn't see a need to be (and you don't have to be to decipher the results). I have had tremendous success with the full assessment as our industry field members understand, resonate with, and find it applicable and relatable. Format/Expectations: My intention is to share my experiences and the pros and cons of the assessment. I then invite you to join the discussion, sharing your own experiences, recommendations, and resources. This open exchange will help us all in our quest for the best personality tests for self-awareness and team development.
